Alice Lees
Alice joined Roythornes as a Trainee Solicitor in 2008 and qualified in Roythornes' Agricultural and Commercial Property team in 2011. During this time, Alice has gained considerable experience in these areas and now specialises in them, as well as in landowner development work. She is also a Fellow of the Agricultural Law Association.
Acting mainly for landowners, tenant farmers and agri-businesses, including some well-known, large estate clients, Alice regularly deals with complex sales and purchases, overage arrangements, options, agricultural tenancies and re-financing. In addition, she advises on diversification projects, including commercial lettings and renewable energy projects (such as wind and solar farms). She has also acted for a number of landowners in relation to sales of land and options for commercial and residential development.
Alice has a notable reputation for developing long-standing working relationships with clients and professionals alike, which comes from her proactive approach and eagerness to achieve the desired result.
In undertaking the ALA Fellowship, Alice is often called upon by clients and other professionals to advise on Agricultural Holdings Act matters. She also has extensive experience in basic payment scheme issues, stewardship schemes and occupational farming arrangements.
