Alicia joined Roythornes’ Court of Protection team as a paralegal in April 2023, having gained a Master of Arts in Law from The University of Law.
Alicia is involved in making applications to the Court of Protection for the appointment of a deputy, as well as assisting in the administration of the deputyship. She assists with financial decisions relating to vulnerable people, including personal budgets, coordinating the sale of property and land, capital expenditure and investments.
Dealing with queries from the Office of the Public Guardian, Alicia produces reports to the Office of the Public Guardian as required. She has knowledge in dealing with local authorities, capacity assessors, and benefits providers. Alicia has an understanding of the Office of the Public Guardian professional standards and its reporting requirements and ensures that all decisions made by the deputy are in the vulnerable adult’s best interests.
