Having completed her LPC at Nottingham Law School, Katie commenced her training contract with Roythornes in September 2022, completing seats in Planning, Regulatory Litigation, Private Client and Agricultural Property.
Katie qualified as a solicitor in September 2024 into our Regulatory team as a dispute resolution solicitor.
Katie advises food businesses and farmers in respect of regulatory enforcement action by local and national government, including the Food Standards Agency (FSA), the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA), Trading Standards, and local councils. Katie’s work includes challenging the decisions of both the FSA and DEFRA in civil proceedings, such as appealing against the service of enforcement notices, as well as bringing claims for judicial review in the High Court.
She also assists with criminal investigations and prosecutions in the Magistrates’ and Crown Courts.
